Independent Inspections...
of floors and flooring systems. Where a dispute or a problem has occurred, an inspection and report can clarify the situation. Reports can cover quality, installation, maintenance and moisture related problems. We can make recommendations as to how most situations can be resolved. We can advise on, or prepare, specifications.
Site Inspections and Surveys.
For the individual or a company we can carry out moisture tests on sub-floors, and test the Relative Humidity to determine when conditions are suitable for the installation of the flooring system. We have the facilities to log humidity and temperature readings at regular intervals and over extended periods of time. This can be very useful in identifying environmental problems in a building.
We are available to carry out level surveys (± 3mm in 30M), the straight edge test for flatness and checking the condition of the sub floor surface. We carry out the BRE Screed Test to assess the soundness of the installed screed.
We use ultra sound to measure the thickness of seal and paint finishes and in some cases the individual coat thickness.
Also we can record site measurements for estimating, ordering and final accounts.
